A Journey from Naples to Your District
'OpenStream' was conceived from a pure ambition: to share true Neapolitan pizza with New York. In 1985, the Dubois lineage initiated our modest pizzeria as a locally-based operation, boasting recipes that span generations.
Sophie Dubois, our progenitor, mastered the craft of pizza creation while exploring Italy and apprenticing with master pizzaiolos in Naples—pizza's homeland. After her return to the UK, her aim was to reproduce the splendor of genuine Italian pizza, preserving classical techniques and selecting the finest raw materials.
The journey from a cozy 12-seater pizzeria has evolved into a cherished bond with the local community, yet our dedication to excellence and genuine practice remains untouched. We still bake using traditional wood-fired ovens, prepare our dough from scratch every day, and obtain the most exceptional produce available.
Presently, 'OpenStream' is still in the hands of its founding family, with the Dubois descendants at the helm of an enthusiastic crew. While we have adopted new advancements, the core of our mission is unwavering: to craft scrumptious, genuine pizza that unites people.
